The Actuarial and Data Science Society is a student- led society established in 2024 under the Department of Mathematics, University of Ruhuna. It serves as a dynamic platform for undergraduates pursuing Financial Mathematics and Industrial Statistics (FMIS), with a focus on empowering students in the fields of actuarial science , statistics ,financial mathematics , data science etc. and the ADSS currently has more than 200 members total in the four batches. By connecting students with industry professionals, and faculty mentors, ADSS bridges the gap between theory and practice, preparing its members for successful careers and meaningful contributions to society.
