Insurance Career Insights 2025: Navigating the Future of Insurance Careers

On June 26th, 2025, the Actuarial and Data Science Society (ADSS) of the University of Ruhuna hosted “Insurance Career Insights 2025”, a compelling in-person session held at the Computer Science Auditorium. The event was aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry experience for undergraduates interested in the insurance and actuarial professions.

The keynote speaker was Mr. Udeni Kiridena, the Chief Executive Officer of the Sri Lanka Insurance Institute. With decades of experience in the insurance sector, Mr. Kiridena delivered an eye-opening talk on the future landscape of insurance careers, emphasizing emerging technologies, data-driven decision-making, and the growing demand for actuarial and risk management professionals in Sri Lanka and beyond.

The session offered undergraduates a rare opportunity to:
