The department offer a wide range of streams from which students can choose with great flexibility, particularly since the implementation of the course unit system in 2002. The department offers Mathematics, Industrial Mathematics and Applied Mathematics as main subjects for the B.Sc. General Degree Programme. Topics from Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, and Mathematics are all covered under these three major subjects. A limited number of students (maximum of 40) are selected for Industrial Mathematics on the basis of their z-score/ an aptitude test.
