INTRODUCTION
The Department of Mathematics introduced an event in 2022 aiming to make a platform to present and share the research skills gained by undergraduates through research projects completed attached to the department and the event was named as Mini-Symposium. This event is organized annually by the Department of Mathematics together with the Mathematics and Statistics Society (RUMSS) and the Actuarial & Data Science Society (ADSS). The first mini-symposium was successfully held in virtual mode on the 27th of August 2022.
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of this event is to encourage undergraduate students to experience the research culture in the field of Mathematics and Statistics and to appreciate their contribution by giving them a forum to improve their research and communication skills.
