Funding the awards

As the above mentioned international workshop had come to a standstill at the end of its first week programme (this was planned to be held for two weeks), some of the funds granted by the CIMPA had not been utilized. This has been deposited in the University of Ruhuna main bank account which amount to LKR557,000.00. It is this money that the ESFoRuM has decided to be utilized in a fixed deposit to set-up the two awards proposed in this article.

The International Centre for Pure and Applied Mathematics (CIMPA) has given its consent and the approval to set-up a scholarship of this kind utilizing the remaining funds of the RISCMAP workshop.
